Nourishing Tomorrow: Where Art Meets Food Policy

Feed Your Future project at Terra Madre 2026

Location: Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento Italiano – Sala Codici
Piazza Carlo Alberto 8, Turin
Dates: 25 September 2026, 17:30

On 25 September at 17:30, BJCEM – Biennale des jeunes créateurs de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée and the Municipality of Milan / MUFPP will present the results of the Feed Your Future project at Terra Madre 2026 in Turin, as part of the session Nourishing Tomorrow: Where Art Meets Food Policy, hosted at the Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento Italiano.

As part of the international Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, organised by Slow Food, the City of Turin and the Piedmont Region under the claim “Biodiversity. Be Diversity”, the event will explore the connections between creativity, food policy  and youth participation.

The session will showcase initiatives developed as part of Feed Your Future, such as “Urban Bites” and “Arts Feed Collective Residencies”, highlighting how participatory and creative practices developed across different European contexts can engage younger generations in imagining and shaping more sustainable food systems.

On the occasion, the video trailer showcasing highlights from the activities and outcomes of URBAN BITES will be launched. The initiative brought 20 street art performances to six cities  — Milan, Thessaloniki, Almere, Lisbon, Barcelona and Brașov — aiming to raise awareness around food sustainability. Coordinated by Rede DLBC Lisboa, URBAN BITES fostered collaboration between artists and local communities, exploring creative approaches to food-related environmental and social challenges.

Speakers include Chiara Mandelli (Municipality of Milan / MUFPP), Elisa Lenhard (Reattiva and ManiTese), Yue Liu (Food Designer) and Stefania Inverso (BJCEM).
